There is a wonderful artist, Libby Martin, who painted furniture.
(Recently she retired from the world of miniatures to pursue other interests.)
. The Alice chair is perhaps my favorite. Enjoy the view in the room. The Mad
hatter, the Rabbit, and the Tea Party are vividly portrayed in this room.
I
chose a tiny striped wallpaper; Libby created a border to my specifications. There
are actually two borders---one with the Rabbit and one with Alice. I combined
these to create a complete Alice effect. I sent my door to Libby who painted
the panels.
Mother
Goose (a Marcia Backstrom creation) takes
a prominent position in the room. She watches over sleeping children and all
of the character dolls. The room even comes equipped with a complete copy
of Through the Looking Glass for night time reading!
